Description
Berber carpet Zemmour khemisset. The Zemmours or Aït Zemmour are a confederation Berbers grouping ten tribes Zenetes living in the region of Middle Atlas, at Morocco. They are sometimes referred to as Aït Zouggouatt.
The Ait zemmour are ancient nomads and semi-nomads who moved in search of pastures in a vast territory of grassy plateaus. They are also great horsemen renowned for the training of bearded horses.
For decades the women of Ait zemmour practiced carpet weaving. This burgundy red carpet with tie dots is made of sheep's wool (weft and velvet) and cotton (chain). Fully done by hand.
The element that differentiates Zemmour's carpet is a powerful red tone in which other shades of orange and yellow, illuminated or darkened by white or black dots, blend in.
Berber carpet Zemmour in red burgundy beautiful for your home decor and to warm your feet whatever their disposition.
This rug will blend in perfectly with a rustic decor, but it can also match any decorating style because of its authenticity and its warm patina colors.
